BUMPzee community tag-based aggregator
Amatomu is great for keeping track of South African blogs, but face it, there’s a big wide world of blogs out there you’ll be missing out on. I’m surprised BUMPzee hasn’t taken off already. It lets you create communities, such as South African, Mountain Biker, Programming, or Geeks, which people can join to get their blog aggregated with other blogs in the community.
The selling point here is that you can specify which posts to include/exclude based on the tags in the blog. So I can tell BUMPzee to only add posts with the +mountain biking tag to the Mountain Biker community. And I include the tag by adding <a href=“http://technorati.com/tag/mountain+biking” rel=“tag”>mountain biking</a> at the end of each post (BUMPzee handles any link with the rel=”tag” attribute).
BUMPzee has loads of useful features, but this will probably slow their uptake as it makes it a bit complicated for average users. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
